Reminders

A few weeks ago I reminded a friend of this verse when they had forgotten, and today they reminded me when I had forgotten. So, I thought I would share it with everyone. It is a good reminder no matter what circumstances we're in and how bad we think we've got it.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away,

yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us

an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.

For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Ponderance

How does one overcome self-righteousness? I know the answer is by the grace of God, but what exactly does that look like. I feel like this problem is so cyclical, the minute I think I've got that sucker beat, there it is again.
